About the exam - main concepts to remember
Disclaimer : I've not yet prepared the exam, so this is not the
exhaustive
list of things to remember or prepare for.
( But, I'll try not to deviate a lot from this when i make the exam. )
Lab 1 :
1. Definition of equipotential lines.
2. Direction and magnitude of electric field, (given the equipotential
lines)
Lab 2 :
1. Differences between ohmic/non-ohmic devices.
2. Kirchoff's laws and it's implications.
3. Series and parallel connections and analysing such circuits.
Lab 3 :
1. Definition and significance of time constant.
2. Series and parallel conncections for capacitors.
3. Using semi-log graph paper.
Lab 4 :
1. Finding direction of magnetic field with a compass needle.
2. Field of a bar magnet, a rheostat coil etc.
Lab 5 :
The question on lab 5, if at all there is one, will be quite
elementary.
1. Phase differences between two waves.
2. Calculating power generated.
