Subject: GRADES

HI,

IF YOU ARE FEARING YOUR GRADE FOR 102N: look over your lab reports to see if i made any mistakes (i do that some times) and come see me with them. in any case you still have more then 50% of your grade to do better on so i would suggest concentrating on the rest of the lab reports (make sure you are answering all the relevant parts in the lab manual. also you still have a final which is 30% of your grade. and one midterm at 10%. if your lab reports have statements such as - missing pre-lab , no graphs and so on, you can come with the missing parts and you will get back the points.

> Hi Eshel, > I am wondering how our final grades will be figured out. Will there be a > curve? - YES

> What kind of curve will you be using? - AVERAGE SCORE IS B. ONE+ STD AND ABOVE A. ONE- STD AND BELLOW C, D, F

> Are you going to show our > updated grades anytime soon? - I WILL GIVE YOU AN IDEA ABOUT HOW YOU ARE DOING NEXT WEEK.

Thanks

Dear Eshel, how exactly are we too find the velocity in step 11 on page 5-7. we need the velocity to find force. -cla rk zaunbrecher

A: You are to find the velocity from your computer frequency. The computer freq. is connected to your hand freq. The conversion factor is given in your manual. Call this freq. w , then the velocity is 2*pi*w*R where R is the length of the crank.
